Quite often people confuse the two as they are both injectables and are used for anti-ageing purposes. Dermal fillers essentially fill out the lines and hollowing areas, by restoring volume and replenishing moisture, by replicating the action of a naturally occurring sugar molecule. In comparison, anti-wrinkle injections contain a natural, purified protein derived from bacteria which relaxes the muscles that cause the wrinkles in the expressive areas.

Anti-wrinkle injections typically last 3 to 6 months or longer with ongoing maintenance treatments.

With anti-wrinkle injections, expect to see initial results 1 to 2 days following treatment, with full effects visible at between 7 to 10 days. Dermal fillers, on the other hand are often immediately effective, so you will notice smoother more toned skin right away.
